Noren! You might remember my post from a few weeks ago when I was trying to decide what to do with the back of our front door. After hanging a noren that we already had as a trial, I realized that it buffered the sound from the street and also helped with temperature regulation. I was fairly convinced this was the way I would head but decided to wander around the fabric store to see if any other ideas popped out at me. I went in with an open mind. Came out with this beautiful fabric. It was pricy. For those of you who have known me for a while, you will agree that it is perfect.
I couldn’t buy enough to do the whole door, so I needed a background to mount it on. I was looking at sheets from Target… large piece of fabric, neutral color. Instead, I found this great quilted coverlet from Jungalow. Jungalow is a design brand from Justina Blakeney. https://www.jungalow.com/ I have followed her and her blog for a long time. Her designs and vibe really appeal to me. I was tickled to find the Dove Stiched Quilt.
An affordable neutral option to use as a background for my luxurious fabric. So here it is.
The camera doesn’t capture the luster and the light reflecting quality that the fabric has. The camera does capture my poor sewing skills. Evidently I am no longer able to cut in a straight line or sew in one either. Ack! I would have liked for the fabric to have been longer but, that is a favorite corner of The Lucky Dog 3 and anything at her level needs to be washable. There is left over bird fabric and dove quilt fabric. Look for future projects.
